Fore Better Health: Mini Glow Golf Tournament

You're invited!

The Canadian Diabetes Association is holding a super fun fundraiser this February, and everyone is welcome! Bring your family, your friends or your coworkers to tee off Fore Better Health!

What: Mini Glow-in-the-Dark Golf Tournament

When: Sunday, February 27th, 6-9 pm

Where: Fleetway - 720 Proudfoot Lane, London ON

Who: You and your team of three others!

Why: To raise funds for diabetes research!

The details: In order to register for this event, you will need to either collect pledges for your team or pay the entry fee of $200 per team. The golf tournament will be a shot-gun start at 6 pm, so you and your team should arrive around 5:45 to get your game faces on. After you play through the course, there will be snacks and treats for you to enjoy while we award prizes to our top three teams, the lowest scoring team and the most glowing team!

Who we are: I'm Carrie, a blogger and marathoner who joined Team Diabetes to make a difference in my own life, and in the lives of Canadians who have diabetes and/or prediabetes, like myself. I started volunteering for the CDA at the start of 2010, and I raised over $6000 for diabetes research, then trained for and ran a marathon in Iceland with the Team to demonstrate my personal commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle. This year, I'm volunteering again and planning to run a marathon in Istanbul wearing the Team Diabetes jersey. Trevor McLellan is the Public Programs and Services Coordinator with the London CDA office. When he's not spreading awareness about diabetes, he's raising money to fund diabetes research - talk about commitment to a cause! Last year, Trevor raised over $6000 for the CDA, then hiked the Grand Canyon. This year, he's raising money again and taking some long fitness hikes to prepare for his adventures in Costa Rica this May.
